Numark Academy

With the changing pharmacy environment and the increasing demands for continuing professional development, at Numark we recognise the need to provide support for learning and development for all the pharmacy team. Delivered through the Numark Academy, members can access a range of training and development support covering all aspects of a pharmacy business from management skills through to first aid. Support includes:

  • Regular workshops for pharmacists and their teams
  • Pre-registration training programme
  • Distance learning modules online and/or paper based
  • Business skills articles
  • CPD diaries
  • Discounted statutory programmes through our partners, Buttercups training
  • Counter assistant development programmes

To help navigate the wealth of training on offer, we provide our members with a guide to all the support available in our Gateway to Training and Development brochure. As well as detailing development solutions, the guide contains a useful framework to help with development and succession planning.

Numark/Actavis Academy Bursary Scheme

At Numark, we recognise that one size does not fit all and that our members will always have diverse training and development needs. With support from our key training partner Actavis, Numark offers a unique bursary scheme to help our members with their specific development needs.

The scheme, open to all Numark members and their teams, will provide financial support of up to 90% of the cost of a course or programme - provided the training adds tangible benefits to your independent pharmacy business.

Counter Assistant Training Programmes

Numark has developed a series of training programmes designed to equip your counter assistants with the skills they need to manage your retail environment, interact with customers and ultimately drive pharmacy services and OTC business.

Numark delivers distance learning, face to face and group training sessions covering a wide range of subject areas, including common ailments, customer care, category management and first aid.
